Endurance Fuel is designed to be your only fuel source but we get it if you want to mix it up. When taking in other foods along with Tailwind, make sure to account for the additional calories to keep your gut happy. That might mean reducing the amount of Endurance Fuel you take in per hour.

How much caffeine is in the caffeinated flavors?

Caffeinated Endurance Fuel contains 35 mg of caffeine per scoop or 70mg per single serving packet.

Can I mix Endurance Fuel with other products to add more electrolytes?

Endurance Fuel is meant to be used as a standalone product as each scoop contains 310mg (620mg per packet) of sodium which should be enough, even for salty sweaters. We recommend increasing your liquid intake on hot days instead of adding a product such as Rapid Hydration to your Endurance Fuel mixture.

How do I carry Endurance Fuel out on the race course?

Tailwind is easy to mix in a hydration pack and our single serving packets fit nicely in a cycling jersey pocket. You can also make a concentrate by mixing Endurance Fuel with a small amount of water (enough to make it viscous) and carry it in your water bottle or soft flask. If making a concentrate, be sure to take in plenty of water to help your body process it.

Can I use Endurance Fuel before or after a workout or race?

Endurance Fuel is meant to be used during your workout, training session, race or adventure, when you are actively burning calories. If you’d like to jumpstart your hydration beforehand, we recommend taking in some Rapid Hydration 30-60 beforehand. For after, we recommend Tailwind Recovery Mix to top off glycogen stores and repair your muscles.

Amazing Product
Mixes easily, the taste is light and refreshing even after 4+ hours or running, or 6+ on the bike. I don’t know what they do differently, but I’ve used a lot of drink mixes and this keeps my blood sugar very stable while I’m working hard (I’m diabetic and wear a CGM). Excellent product and well worth a try!

Love the flavor
Great flavor and I like the product so far. I'm still working on staying on top of regularly sipping from my hydration pack to stay on top of energy levels for long runs, but it's nice not to have to bother with gels anymore.

My wife and I both run on hot Tucson days, and tailwind has helped maintain our energy levels after hot/sunny runs. Also, using it helps save my liver from those hard fasts when not supplementing enough on long runs >18 miles.
As a desert runner used to taking tap water I have had some electrolyte disturbances when adjusting to it and (so far) the only way to prevent that is to use ONLY tailwind on a run, which can get costly.
There's not a great flavor (it's pretty utilitarian in taste) but that lack of real sweetness seems to diminish the reactive hypoglycemia I get when refueling with a Coke so fits in as part of the overall appeal for me.
Love the stuff, I just wish it wasn't costing me like $10 a run!
