My name is Sarah Sturm and I live in the mountains of Southwestern Colorado, commonly known as Durango. I started racing in college where biking was more popular than any ball-sport. I then began my off-road career on a local pro mountain bike team (full of famous names like Sepp Kuss, Howard Grotts, Teal Stetson-Lee and Kaylee Blevins). After that I took a break from racing and pursued a career as a graphic designer, racing cyclocross on the weekends. I got really into single speed 'cross, won a few races and signed my first pro contract with Specialized! My cyclocross team turned gravel in 2019 and I raced my first big gravel race which I also happened to win, the rest is history. I've been on the podium at Unbound, Leadville, Traka, The Lifetime Grand Prix and Gravel Earth! Over the past 5 years I've grown with the sport of professional Gravel, we've advocated for fair sport, separate women's races and equal payout. I hope to inspire others and challenge myself both on and off the bike!
