Big City Mountaineers provides transformative experiences through connections to nature that strengthen life skills and build community for youth from disinvested communities. Big City Mountaineers engages youth in hiking, camping, backpacking, and paddling experiences in seven cities across the country, including Boston, Denver, Miami, Minneapolis, Portland, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle. Since 1989, BCM has to provided more than 42,000 nights under the stars for youth who might not have otherwise had the opportunity.
